Hoover Dam and into Arizona.......

We have been to the Hoover Dam a long time ago in 1987 during our first trip to the US, so we thought we would pay it a visit and see if it has changed much. Well back in 1987 you could stop on the dam get out, take a few picks and off you go. Not today you cant, bloody tourists everywhere, so we crawled across the dam with Jo clicking away at a stunning new bridge high above us and some pics of the dam as we drove away. Eventually got across without killing and Japenese tourist and away up the other side onwards to the Grand Canyon south rim, or so we thought. The road we used before was now closed doh!!!! so we did a 180 and proceeded back down across the dam with the thought of killing one or two Jap tourists on the way, why on earth did they not  say at the beginning of the old road dead end, no through road, anything letting us suckers waste 30 minutes on a trip to nowhepre!

Anyway pics of dam and bridge we finally went over, oh and a stunning view over lake mead.

 Lake Mead
 New road bridge
Hoover dam of course.
